Email marketing guidelines and strategies are crucial to make a mark in the business world. Anyone who thought that sending out mass emails on a regular basis translates to email marketing, needs to think again. Strategies have to be worked out in order to be successful in an email marketing venture. And we are here to tell you about you some email marketing tips and strategies. In a world of severe spam laws, it can be quite complicated to begin an email marketing venture. But our email marketing guidelines and strategies will direct and help you set up your business as one of substance.

Email Marketing Tips And Strategies To Start You Off

• Double Opt-In: A customer must be given two chances to verify their subscription to your mailing list. A double-opt in usually works in the following method. The customer gives his email address on your website. He then has to click on a verification link sent in the first email by your company. This is an excellent email marketing tip or tactic.

• Unsubscribe Option: All customers to an email marketing list must be given a choice to unsubscribe at a future point in time. This unsubscribe choice is usually given at the bottom of every email sent by the company.

• Acquiring email addresses: A great way to gather email addresses is to gather them on a high traffic webpage on your website. Adding a subscription link to such a page works marvel. Offering free incentives to visitors to join your mailing list also works. Add to the email marketing package by creating free software, or an e-book or any other related gift to suggest to the customers as soon as they sign up on your email marketing venture. Another way to accumulate email addresses is to buy an email list. But do take into consideration the following email marketing guidelines and strategies while doing this. First- purchase these lists from distributors who enjoy an esteemed reputation. Second, try and purchase a list that includes customers in the market section that you want to target.

• Format: Your emails must be sent in both HTML and plain text format. This email marketing tips and tactic allows an greater number of people to read your emails.

• Regularity: The trick to email marketing is getting the timing right. Keep in mind to send email newsletters frequently. Once a month on a predetermined date, or once every two weeks is an excellent option. Sending too many mails might irritate the subscriber who then just might unsubscribe. So once you get the timing of your emails right, you stay in the subscriber’s memory and will be able to sell your ideas and products frequently. Following the above email marketing guidelines and tactics will improve your product value while adding to your business insight. No one wants his business newsletter to be cluttered as spam. Customer reliability has to be won and retained.

IT Solutions Primer

In the developing industry of the internet, people have learned and got accustomed to being reliant to the information that can usually be found in the internet today. Some of the most wanted information don’t come for free and so in order to be able to understand some of them, there will be times that a cash obligation comes around. This is true most of the time but with what the internet can offer for people who knows how to look for the perfect and free information, everything else is easy as pie. IT solutions speaking, there are a very wide variety of information and data sheets that sometime in order for you to arrive at will require the skill to look for them. They are important and they must be found so here are a few free shortcuts and features that you might be interested to have but only in terms of importance.

Computer Hardware and Software Tips

There is very big difference between a computer hardware and software tip. While software goes as the unseen and cannot-be-held physical component in the computing industry, the other is that which can be virtually hand held and determined in terms of specifics and standards that are set by their manufacturers. The use of software is an essential and integral part of a computer and therefore is always a must in order to run data or display one in the right platform.

Usually, software has tutorials and information like Linux Tutorials, MS DHCP servers, CSS, Microsoft, Windows and they mostly come with one as a guide for the users and they mostly coincide to be a requirement before you can use any hardware, otherwise, malfunction in the same hardware can take over anytime. Aside from this fact, hardware on the other hand is actually a helping aid for the computer so that things don’t get messed up forcing the virtual parts, especially the motherboard of the computer to function over an abused condition. In simple words, hardware helps the computer to lighten, ease out or even out the load and well distributes it into its own physical components like the mother board, video card, LAN card, sound card, memory and so on. When troubles occur by misuse of either component, the need for computer repair tips or the repair person gets in.

Web Development and Web Site Design

Web development is that part of the internet industry which is responsible for all the revolutionary changes that have happened in the past 10 years that contributed to the technology development at the same time. One aspect of the web development is the coming of the web design era which greatly helped a lot in improving the online business in a globally accepted standard that comply with the WWW or the world wide web standards or the W3C or the World Wide Web Consortium.

Web Site Designing and Development

Web design since then became a clear manifestation of the advancement and fast improvement of online business arising from the need to make quality businesses appear as professional as they can be with prospect clients as well as visitors who come using the internet. Today, there are so many standards that accompanied the improvement of web site design standards and I must admit that they aggressively helped a lot of webmasters develop their own set of visions by combining aesthetics with standards to form the best looking websites of today.

Computer Software and Hardware Repair Tips

Upon the development of the web and its corresponding major role players which are the software and hardware, the development and the need for the right knowledge that will handle all the right actions arise. What I am referring to is the need to cope up with the need to cut costs in case of problems with the use of a technology that enables qualified service men to make repair for certain problems that require software and hardware knowledge. Hence, the computer hardware and software repair came to the rescue and just in time for the pouring problems brought about by the aging technology which in the computing industry is fast as the lightning bolt.

Email Marketing Tactics

Mar 19th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

Today’s Business it is found that email marketing is a productive and cost-effective means of generating sales. The cost of sending a direct mail piece by postal service runs over a dollar whereas the cost of sending email is negligible. Analysts say getting even one percent response rate from direct mail is rare but an email marketing campaign can easily fetch a five to ten percent response rate. The benefit of email marketing is not confined to increased sales and lead generation. It also significantly helps to create powerful brand awareness and improved customer relationships.

Email marketing is one of the best ways of gaining publicity for your business online. As the number of email users is swelling by the day, more and more businesses are choosing email marketing as their primary advertising campaign.  Email marketing is cheap, fast and more importantly – effective. Email marketing is extremely productive and brings good ROI (Return on Investment) for internet marketers.

If you are planning to start an internet business or if you are already an existing internet business owner, it is beneficial to implement email marketing in your web business promotion strategy. A well planned email marketing campaign can help you boost sales for your on-line as well as off-line business.

Before embarking on your email marketing campaign, it is critically important that you clearly understand the difference between proper email marketing and spam. If you fail to learn the distinction, you may seriously hurt your business.  Spam is very unethical way of internet marketing. Simply stated, it means sending promotional email messages to people who did not solicit that information. If you try to spam, you may be even be banned by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) completely disabling you from sending messages from your email account again.

A much better and healthy method is opt-in email marketing. Contrary to spam it is permission based, which means that people have agreed to receive emails from you. This way of marketing is preferred by many businesses and it brings very good results. Unsolicited email marketing or spamming brings very low response rates. It’s not targeted, which means that email message goes to people who are not interested in your offer.  A majority of people will not even look at your spam email, so it is not possible to obtain good response rates using unsolicited advertising.
One of the most important elements of your email marketing campaign is the content of your promotional message. Learning how to write an effective message or follow up email messages is an essential step of your email marketing campaign. Write your message only to those people whom you consider likely prospects.

Write your message individually putting his or her name in the message. Do not send out a collective message by addressing ‘dear subscriber’. For all that smart targeting, it’s still hard to get people to open e-mails unless they recognize the sender immediately.

Write interesting headlines as these are immediately get noticed.  Make sure your headline arouses interest of the recipient if you want your message to be opened and read. Give your prospects the option to unsubscribe from your list. If you retain them against their will, you may be accused of spam. So provide removal instructions at the end of your message all the time.
Email marketing is a unique way of developing long-standing relationship with your existing and prospective customers. If you are really serious about your on-line or off-line business, email marketing is a cost-effective way of promoting your products and services.

Understanding Email Marketing

Mar 19th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

The Internet allows email marketers an opportunity like no other. This is the opportunity to reach out to millions of people in a matter of seconds. The response rate on marketing emails is quite high when opt-in email addresses are used. Despite the simplicity of email marketing there are some basics you will need to understand to ensure that you are going about the process in the best way possible.

There are certainly some amazing benefits to email marketing so take your time to understand it. Then, in no time you will be able to reach out to large numbers of people by hitting the send button and literally fill your inbox with orders and your bank account with money. The following are a few of the benefits of email marketing as well as how you should use this method to benefit you.

Fast One of the most amazing aspects of email marketing is that it is fast to send out the emails and then the response to the emails is just as fast. It is quite possible to send out your first marketing email and within minutes have orders in your inbox. There is no other method of marketing your product that is as fast and amazing as email marketing when it is used correctly.

Affordable In general, advertising is expensive. However, when you are using email marketing you will find that you won’t need to spend much money at all. All you really need is a computer, Internet connection, and a little bit of time to write an email to market your products and services. Basically, sending an email is free although you do have to pay for other things to be able to do so.

Testing Marketing emails will need to be tested. That is part of email marketing, or any kind of marketing really. With email marketing you will be able to test various emails much faster simply because the entire process is sped up. Give it a try and you will be able to make marketing decisions quickly and easily thanks to the web!

Responses With direct marketing you may have to wait days, weeks, or even months for the response you are looking for. With email marketing you can have your first response within minutes of sending out an email. That’s amazing and what email marketing is all about. Individuals receive marketing emails and then they make a decision. They will either delete the email without ever reading it, read it and delete it, or read it and make a purchase. Those who make a purchase will forward the email to their friends and family members if they were happy with their purchase. That’s why it’s so important to please your customers!

15 Email Marketing Best Practices

Mar 18th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

As you may know, most people now spend more time reading their emails than they do surfing the web. Email is one of the most powerful mediums that you can use to talk to visitors, customers and prospects.

In this article I will discuss 15 best practices that you can use everyday in your email marketing activities. Used wisely and consistently, there’s no doubt you’ll see an increased response from your subscribers — whether it be for more feedback, more product/seminar registrations, or even more orders.

1. Avoiding the Spam Filters The majority of large Internet service providers now use rigorous spam protection mechanisms to trap unsolicited email before it gets into their customers inboxes. Spam filters generally “rank” each email by a number of different criteria, and, if that email rates above a certain level (such as 10 spam points), then it is flagged as spam and deleted.
To make sure your emails don’t get flagged as spam — and deleted before they even get to your subscribers — avoid using words such as ‘Free’, ‘$$$’, ‘Save’, ‘Discount’, etc in both the subject line and the content of your email.
2. Maximizing Click-Thru Rates Both web pages and emails can contain a lot of text and graphics, and this sometimes makes it harder to get your subscribers to perform a certain task, such as clicking on a link to see your special offers.
Numerous research papers tell us that the majority of Internet users respond better to a plain, bold, blue text link — such as this — as opposed to a banner or button. So, if you’re going to include links in your emails, make sure they are bold, blue and underlined. This will mean that more subscribers click through, meaning more conversions/sales for you.
3. The Power of Personalization If you were standing in a crowded mall, which of these would get your attention: “HEY, YOU!” or “HEY JOHN” (assuming your name is John). The power of personalization can and should be used in your emails. In-fact, by simply starting your email with “Hi [subscriber_name]” instead of the boring “Hi there”, you can increase both your reading and click-thru rates by up to 650%. Why? Put simply, it’s because your subscribers feel like they already have a relationship with you as you’ve addressed them by their first name.
4. One-Click Unsubscription If you want to grow your mailing list, then there are 2 things that you absolutely must have: a double opt-in process, and a quick way to unsubscribe. In some countries, it’s actually mandatory by law that every email has an unsubscribe link in it. The unsubscribe link should take the recipient directly to a page where they are then removed — courteously — from your mailing list.
5. Signup Confirmation Don’t get accused of spamming — always, and I mean always use a double opt-in confirmation process. Double opt-in means that after your visitor initially enters their email address to subscribe to your list, you should then send them a “confirmation” email. This email should contain a special link back to your email-marketing program, which will then verify that this visitor did indeed sign up to your mailing list.
6. Tuesday / Wednesday = Increased Response Studies conducted by online research analysts have shown that the best days to perform a mail-out to your list are Tuesday and Wednesday, as this is when people are more receptive to communication. This means that they are more likely to read your content and click on links, meaning more sales.
On Mondays, everyone is still recovering from a hectic weekend. On Thursday and Friday, people are already too busy looking forward to the weekend. We’ve actually experimented with this, and received the best results by sending out emails at around 2-3pm (American Pacific Time) on a Wednesday.
7. Repeat Email Communication An auto responder is an email that is scheduled to be sent at a certain time interval after someone subscribes to your mailing list. Auto responders are a great way to automatically follow up with your subscribers or provide them with more information on your products/services.
For example, if you provide a free newsletter, you could setup 3 auto responders for new subscribers: the first is sent 1 hour after they subscribe. It contains a thank you message and a link to get 10% off your newly released eBook.
The second is sent 24 hours after they subscribe, telling them about your community message boards, and the third is sent 72 hours after they subscribe, in which you can offer them a special deal on becoming a paid member of your site.
Auto responders help your subscribers build trust in both your company and your brand, and this can help make it easier when trying to close sales in the future.
8. Consistency is the Key If you’re running a newsletter or frequent email publication, make sure you keep the look and feel consistent from issue to issue. By keeping the look and feel consistent, you help to maintain and strengthen your brand and your image to your subscribers, which again will make it easier to close sales when you need to.
Create a template for your newsletter and whenever you need to create a new issue, use that template as the basis for each issue.
9. On Time, Every Time When sending a regular email to your subscribers, always make sure that it’s sent on the same day, at the same time. For example, every Wednesday at 3pm. Your subscribers will come to “expect” your email to arrive in their inbox on the same day at the same time every week, meaning that they want to read your content and are generally more receptive to any special offers or promotions you may include.
10. The Half-a-Second Subject Line When your email arrives in your subscriber’s inbox, you generally have about half a second to catch their attention with the subject line of your email. After this, they will either delete your email or ignore it. In your subject line, try and specify a benefit that the subscriber can expect by reading your email. For example, instead of using ‘OurSite Newsletter Issue #1′, use ‘OurSite Newsletter: 10 Tips for Financial Freedom’.
11. The Free Bonus Hook-In Free is overused these days, especially on the Internet. However, if you’re looking to grow your subscriber list, then create or source a product of value to your visitors (such as an eBook or discount coupon) and offer it to them for free when they signup for your newsletter.
To make sure they don’t simply type any email address into your subscription form, setup an auto responder to send them the free bonus 1 hour after they subscribe to your newsletter.
12. The Preview Pane Popular email clients such as MS Outlook show a preview of an email when it’s selected in your inbox. Always have some interesting content at the very top of your email, as this is the part that will show in the preview window of your subscribers email program. If it’s interesting enough, then your subscriber will open your email and continue on reading.
13. Link-Click Testing When creating marketing emails, try using different text for both content and links. Also try re-positioning images such as logos and buttons. After sending about 3 different emails, compare the click-thru stats and see which one worked best. Now, when you need to send marketing emails in the future, you know that you will be sending the right mix of content and images that will attract the most click-thrus, and ultimately the most sales.
14. Email-Based Learning Add value to your website, build trust in your visitors, establish your credibility and collect more subscriptions to your mailing list by setting up an email-based learning course. To do this, simply create a series of auto responders (for example, 5) containing unique content. Then, schedule the first one to be sent after 24 hours, the second after 48 hours, etc.
15. Always Sign on the Dotted Line Always include a signature at the bottom of your emails, as it’s one of the easiest ways to attract more traffic to your website. This signature should include your personal details, your company details, and an unsubscribe link. You can use your signature to link back to your website, and even to other products. Here’s a sample signature:
Regards, John Doe. President – Company XYZ. Visit our website at http://www.companyxyz.com Unsubscribe from this newsletter at http://www.companyxyz.com/unsubscribe…

Conclusion – By implementing the 15 best practices described in this article, you can take your email marketing to a whole new level — attracting more subscribers, and building both your brand equity and credibility at the same time.

Tips For Running An Effective Email Marketing Campaign

Mar 18th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

It seems that what emerged as sound email principles and etiquette apply just as well to email marketing. But its not just email marketing… it’s effective email marketing.

Where previously formal letters and faxes used to be the way to communicate with clients and potential customers, the shift to the ’softcopy’ world of the Web has meant that this same type of communication would have to happen in a format pertinent to this new venue. Email and email marketing asserted itself as the prime method of contact then. From brochures to customer support, everything can now take place through a few types on the keyboard and few clicks of the mouse.

However, there still is a protocol and a proper manner for effective email marketing:

- Be clear

Email is a shortened form of communication. There is no space for flowery and overtly ego-soothing language. Basic courtesy applies, like proper greetings and such, but on the whole, emails should be short and clear. Get to the point as soon as possible. Let your recipient know what is expected of him, what he stands to gain through this communication, and how he can gain it (for example, what he has to do, such as be within the first hundred to visit a site and thus earn a discount)

- Offer value, not information

Provide incentive for the email reader to read and click through. Add value to your communication. Attract and seduce. Don’t be surprised a boring, hum-drum email is deleted as soon as the recipient reads the first few lines. Entice, and do not provide too much information in the content. The website is there for this purpose. The email is for communication.

- Prefer text

Graphics take long to load and often emails with graphics and attachments are deleted immediately or go to a junk mail folder.

- Label your images if you use them.

Some people get only the text in an email in their browser. If you include graphics but fail to label them, the whole message may not make sense or the reader may not be enticed. Providing labels lets him know what stands at such a place in the message.

- Use a hook

You should aim to catch the attention of your reader from the first line itself. A good hook works then. Its message should be relevant and clear so that the customer can then immediately decide to read on or not. Remember that a reader is won through the first few lines itself.

- Support the hook

In the body of your email, use relevant information to support your hook and its message. However, be concise, as this isn’t an opportunity for an info dump. Your information should simply reinforce your hook.

- Be short and concise

Readers won’t read every word that is down in an email. They usually scan the thing in whole. Use the space you have succinctly to maximize the opportunity to grasp the reader.

- Provide the most important information first

Make efficient use of the top space of your email. Many readers read email through a preview pane. The top third of your email will be displayed in this pane, and based on this information, a reader may decide to read the full or delete the message already.

- Use a legible and easy to grasp format
- Arrange your text in a manner that is pleasant to the eye.
- Delineate text and paragraphs using hyphens or lines.
- Use legible font such as Georgia and Verdana in a readable size.
- Use bullets and lists to more clearly define your message so it can be grasped at first glance.

- Use the active voice

The active voice ‘involves’ the reader in the message and pushes him to react.

- Know your audience

And write accordingly with appropriate wording and information.

- Avoid URLs that are too long

Such addresses in emails can be difficult to click as they lose their link when they are ‘broken’ onto 2 or more lines.
Aim to have a URL on its own line. If needed, shrink the text for the link. Or you can offer the address without a hyperlink but as a ‘copy and paste’ option.

- Avoid caps and excessive use of punctuation marks

That’s basic email etiquette, which carries forward into your business communication.

- Offer an option to unsubscribe

Always offer a ‘way out’ for your recipients. An unsubscribe link is expected to be seen at the bottom of the email.
Providing your recipient with the option to continue receiving emails or to terminate the reception shows caring and courtesy to the reader.

Also ensure that an unsubscription is effective immediately.

- Easy to subscribe as well

Make it easy to subscribe as well. Provide links and offer a way to your guest book or how to provide comments and feedback. This shows consideration on your behalf.
It is also a good idea to let your readers know that they are free to forward the email as well.

- Make it easy to change subscription address

This way, if a client or recipient changes his address, he can make sure the email follows as well.

- Make good use of your subject line

The headline of your message should go in the subject box, as this is the first glimpse recipients will have to your email. Use it judiciously to convey information.

- Address your recipients by their name

This shows consideration and a personal touch. You definitely win over more people through a personalized message than through an impersonal mass bundling.

- Avoid in holiday periods

This time is often holiday from emails too, so keep email marketing communications to the minimum too.
You could however send out a message with the holiday’s greetings and best wishes.

- Consistency with corporate design

Having the same kind of layout and formatting as your website and other business communication supports ensures that someone recognizes your email at first glance too.

Once you have found the right template/format, use it every time.

- An email address that says who you are

People are more apt to trust a message with a From line containing information about who you are and where you’re from. This will also prevent your email from being listed as spam and from ending in the junk email folder.

- The landing page should fit the email and the offer

Make sure you are leading your reader to the right destination through the links provided in the message.

People hate wasting their time, and if this happens even once, you stand the risk of losing credibility.

By tailoring your landing page for links, you also make better use of your website to further engage the customer’s interest.

- Motivate newsletter sign up with a freebie or bonus
Offer something in return as an incentive. This could win you a lot of new subscriptions.

- Have good multimedia if you are using it

If you are using audio or video, make sure they are of good quality and can be accessed easily.

- Reply to requests within 24 hours

This is basically common courtesy but it pays to be recalled. Ensuring prompt replies show you care and value your customers.

- Email should be service oriented, not marketing oriented as with paper

Your aim through email marketing is to inform and provide an ‘easy’ access to your company.

- Customize so it doesn’t look like spam

Make sure your message is unique in its content and format so it isn’t brushed off as spam.

- Offer user control if possible

Wherever possible, give your reader the opportunity to tailor your communications to him. People are most apt to listen to the information they have asked for.

- Provide contact information for you

Always provide a way of contacting you. The signature in emails is one of your greatest effective email marketing assets.

By making use of these email marketing tips, you should be able to create a successful and effective email marketing campaign.

Email Marketing Software and Privately Owned Used Car Dealerships

Mar 18th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

Do you know how easy email marketing software can make your life? As a private used car dealership owner or operator, you can use email marketing to connect you with other businesses and potential clients, without having to break the bank. This will help you convert more potential clients into buyers and help you generate more business with other dealerships.

Email marketing software is designed to help you create a professionally designed email marketing campaign in minutes. By designing a campaign that appeals to your potential customers, you have a greater opportunity for repeat business. Because top-ranked email marketing software will include a comprehensive list manager, you will be able to segment your contacts by the cars that they might be interested in. This will change the design of your campaigns.

Your design can include images of the vehicle’s interior, front, side, trunk-space, or any other special features that you would like to show, enhancing the likelihood of the potential sale. The best email marketing programs will make it so simple for you to upload images with just a click of a button. The written content you will include can be cut and pasted into the available fields, and can be edited and stylized to suit your vision. By designing your campaigns to show the features of your vehicles, you will increase the amount of conversions of potential clients.

You can also use these campaigns to unite yourself with other dealerships, creating an affiliate program that will earn you more commissions. By adding other dealerships to your contact list, you can send them the campaigns that you create. This will allow other dealerships to send you clients for a percentage of commissions based on the client’s interest in the vehicle that you are selling, and vice-versa. If other dealerships have a vehicle that matches a client’s needs; you can earn a little extra cash by sending the client their way for a small piece of the pie. This is a simple way that email marketing programs can help you in earning a little dough on the side.

Some things to keep in mind: the better the email marketing program, the more choice they are going to offer you. As an example, the a top ranked email marketing programs will allow you to choose your marketing strategy by offering you either “Unlimited Monthly Sending” or the use of a “credit system”. Using a monthly billing plan for email marketing software means you have a monthly cost based on the size of your subscriber list (the higher the number of subscribers, the higher the cost per month) that allows you an unlimited amount of sending within that month. This works great for enterprise-level businesses that are constantly sending out to hundreds of thousands of clients on a consistent basis.

With the credit system, you purchase an amount of credits depending on how you want to structure your email marketing strategy. Because one email address is the equivalent of one credit, you can determine how many email blasts you plan on doing for any certain campaign. As an example, if you have 3,000 subscribers that you want to send to 5 times over the next 6 months, up front you will purchase 15,000 credits (3,000 x 5). This saves you hundreds of dollars, as credit packages’ costs per thousand are reduced if you purchase more up front. Because the credits do not have a roll-over fee or a monthly charge, it puts you in full control of your marketing. You are not tied into marketing every single month. You have the freedom to choose whether or not you will market via email that month, depending on the needs and seasonality of your business.

The credit system tends to work better for small and medium sized businesses. The monthly costs can get expensive and the need to market every month isn’t always there. Plus, if you have a budget set aside for a certain campaign you are doing, you can use the credits to match your needs in terms of budget. However, this can be a financially unsound decision if you are an enterprise level business. Using email marketing software in the form of credits is just not cost effective for a company that sends out hundreds of thousands of emails per month.

The credit system is likely to work better when sending out as a privately-owned used car dealership. Although you will be sending out frequently, the amount of subscribers that you send to will likely be smaller in volume. Therefore you can purchase a large amount of email credits up front and draw from them as you would a bank account.

You will also want to choose email marketing software that allows you unlimited possibilities in terms of list management. This will allow you to create a groupings of customers based on the kind of car they were looking at, or how interested they seemed (Hot, Warm, Cold), what week they came onto your lot, etc. This will help you to organize who you are sending to and keep you more organized. Because the better email marketing programs are set up with results tracking, you will be able to see exactly who is opening, clicking and forwarding your emails. This is extremely useful information for future marketing strategic planning.

Email marketing software will help you develop your business contacts and clients by giving you professional looking campaigns and list management and tracking capabilities. Because email marketing programs only cost a few dollars to use, it could totally reinvent the way that you do business. Email marketing software will make your privately owned used car dealership feel brand-new!

Email Marketing Terms to Know

Mar 18th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

When researching email marketing software, it’s important to know what to look for in the products you are looking up. Here are a few things to remember when looking for email marketing software for your business.

When evaluating email marketing software, it is important to know some buzz words, key words, and things to consider so that you are properly informed. As a small business owner, you will greatly benefit from email marketing, as it helps you stay in contact with your current or potential clients. It is an important service that can greatly increase sales. Therefore, it is important to be informed before making a choice on the email marketing solution you are choosing.

The following is a glossary of email marketing buzz words that you might come across, and what they mean to you and your business.

Email Authentication: These are various bits of information that identify the sender to the Internet Service Providers (ISPs). It’s a kind of accountability for the messages that you are sending out.

The latest technologies in this field include Doman Keys, DKIM and SPF records. Any great email marketing software provider will take care of these technologies on your business’ behalf, so you don’t have to worry about it. If you speak to an email marketing account executive, make sure to ask if they’re taking care of email authentication for you, and inquire about which technologies they’re using.

Domain Keys (DK); Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM): Are signatures that are added to your emails to verify the sender (or domain) and the content within the message. This helps get your messages into your subscribers’ inbox, as it is information that spam bots/filters can identify. The best email marketing organizations have this in place, so that your emails have the best possible chances of landing in your subscribers inboxes.

Spam: Is the common term for unsolicited bulk-email. When an email is sent to an address that did not opt-in (or give direct permission) to receive the email, or is sent multiple times to the same address, it is considered Spam. The most respected email marketing companies will not take on customers who are planning to send Spam messages. In fact, the top companies will catch Spam messages before they go out, and prevent the sender from sending them.

Tracking – Once you send out a message, you can track opens, clicks, forwards, and bounces: The best email marketing companies will have a comprehensive tracking beacon allowing you to see which of your subscribers have opened clicked and forwarded your emails. You will also be able to take this information and use it for future campaigns.

It will provide you with a better understanding of your subscribers, and therefore allow you to develop a proper strategy to market to them accordingly. “Opens” relates to which of your subscribers have actually seen the content of your email, by clicking on it in their inbox.

”Clicks” are a list of subscribers that have pressed on one of the links in the email that you have set up. Look for an email marketing software that will give you information as to who, exactly who clicked on each link, and when they did it. “Forwards” lists the subscribers that have passed your message onto other interested parties.

”Bounces” are the emails that didn’t arrive to the intended reader, because either the subscriber’s mailbox was full, the address no longer exists, their server has timed out (meaning the end computer was not responding to the original computer’s message) or because the security features on the subscribers account are set extremely high.

Make sure that you know what you are looking for in an email marketing software, so that you campaign s will be as successful as can be. Look for the email marketing software companies that give you the best possible chances to get your email into the inbox of you subscribers.

Matt Van Wagner, CEO, findmefaster, interviews Bryan Eisenberg, co-founder of futurenow, about SEO tools of the trade at SES Toronto 2009. Bryan says if he could only select one SEO/analytics tool to take with him on a desert island, it would be Google’s Website Optimizer. Bryan says the main reason for his choice is because while 79% of organizations are measuring data, only 30% of organizations are doing anything based on that data. Google Website Optimizer allows you to test different options on your website and allows for visitors to your website to choose and select which are the best options for them. Bryan also recommends the web development toolbar, whyslow and knowem for ID management. Bryan also previews some of the new analytics tools his company is working on, one is called Ontarget, which is tied into Google analytics. What Is The Current Web Standards?

The marked up document forms the structural layer, which is the foundation on which other layers may be applied. Next come the presentation layer, specific with cascading style sheets, that provides instructions on how the document should look on the screen, sound when it sired aloud, or be formatted when it is printed. On top of these layers, there may also be a behavioral layer, the scripting and programming that adds interactivity and dynamic effects to a site. This you can find links to all three CSS specifications on this page: WWW.w3.org/style/CSS.

Behavioral Layer
The scripting and programming of the behavioral layer adds interactivity and dynamic effect to a site.

Object Models
The Document Object Models (DOM) allows scripts and applications to access and update the content, structure, and style of a document by formally naming each part of the document, its attributes, and how that object may be manipulated. In the beginning, each major browser had its own DOM, making it difficult to create interactive effects for all browsers.

Document Object Model (DOM) Level 1 (Core)
This version covers core HTML and XML documents as well as document navigation and manipulation. The Dom Level 1 Specification can be found at w3c.org/TR/REC-Dom-Level-1/.

Dom Level 2
Level 2 includes a style sheet object model, making it possible to manipulate style information. Links to the core and other modules of the DOM Level 2 Specification are available at WWW.w3c.org/DOM/DOMTR.

Scripting
Netscape introduced its web scripting language, JavaScript, with it’s Navigator 2.0 browser. It was originally called “Live script” but was later co-branded by sun, and “Java” was added to the moniker. Microsoft countered with its own JSript while supporting some level of JavaScript in its Version 3.0 browser. The need for a cross-browser standard was clear.

JavaScript 1.5/ECMAScript 262
The W3C is developing a standardized version of JavaScript in coordination with the Ecma International, an international industry association dedicated to the standardization of information and communication system. According to the Mozilla site, Netscape’s JavaScript is a super set of the ECMAScript standard scripting language, with only mild difference from the published standard. In general practice, most developers simply refer to “JavaScript,” and the standard implementation is implied.

Email Marketing Tools For Beginners

Mar 18th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

One of the dimensions of online marketing is email marketing. It is significant for beginners who want to earn money online to learn that email marketing is as simple as composing a letter and send it to everybody’s inbox. The popularity of email marketing in the recent years has made the image of email addresses a very vulnerable medium which spams, bulk mails, and all sorts of newsletters attack. Even this is the case, email marketing remains to be a very powerful business promotion technique in as much as email addresses remain to be people’s private virtual edifice on the World Wide Web.

The web is very generous in giving email marketing tools for beginners, given the fact that a hundred of websites offer free mail hosting. It is just important for beginners to understand that employing email as a marketing strategy must be done with a concrete, comprehensive, and thorough plan. While it is cheaper to get a free email address, it is definitely ideal that the domain in the email address speaks the name of the online marketer’s company. Email readers definitely will pay attention to a bulk of letters if the address from which the mail comes from appears professional. The content, the design, the layout, and every detail of the emails being sent must mirror the online marketer’s business strategy.

Emails are only read if they are personal. Spams already taught us about this. One factor in choosing email marketing tools is picking a program or service that enables sending mails in bulk but are at the same time making each letter very personal. In other words, choose email marketing tools that speed up the sending process, those, for instance, just require the marketer to enter the list of recipient addresses and the content of the letter and then in one click generate unique, personalized letters to everyone. It is important for beginners to learn the different variations of marketing letters, from personalized replies and quotes to customer requests to official newsletters to press releases to personalized mails to auto respond notices. While email is quite a new technology, the ethics and professionalism required in any business setup must be applied in engaging in this marketing medium. Email composition, from language use to letterhead design, must be done painstakingly.

In email marketing, it is just fundamental that the mails being sent are not being thrown in the recipients’ spams or bulk mails. This is where the disadvantage of free mail hosting comes in. Websites offering free email hosting are suspicious in the eyes of email software programs, servers, and systems. So if Internet marketers can really afford it, they should hire email services from credible web institutions instead of sticking to free ones. These email service companies provide a wide array of amazing email marketing tools in as much as they ensure high-speed mail delivery and low to zero rate of bouncing mails. They also provide mechanisms on how to monitor and analyze the behavior of customers toward the mails individually and collectively. Included too in these marketing tools too are evaluation programs that assess periodic market campaigns, volume requests, actual purchases, demographic data, among many others.

Email Marketing Templates – How To Get Your Emails Read

Mar 17th

Posted by admin in Email Marketing

Email is one of the a large amount of effective direct marketing techniques available. When done well it enables us to terminology to large levels of prospects and customers in an instant; alerting them to offers, telling them about new products and services and forming an continuous relationship.

Done wrong, email marketing emails get deleted without even being viewed. Even worse, our emails can be viewed as annoying spam, damaging the very relationships we are all trying so hard to nurture. So, as professional marketers, how can we ensure our intently crafted email marketing pieces get was reading in the beforehand place? It starts in the subject line Research has shown that open market values vary enormously, depending on the subject succession used.

Common sense tells us the punchy subject lines with treatment grabbing headlines are going to do better than dull versions. However, it comes as a big news to many marketers to figure out that the best open rates are from ‘informative’ rather as opposed to ‘creative’ subject lines. One notable study revealed subject lines such as, “[COMPANYNAME] Newsletter – February 2009″ typically outperform lines such as “The Future of International Trade” by a factor of 5 or more.

The simple truth is that the proper performing subject lines describe the subject of the email. To do somewhat unique flies in the face of hard evidence and is only attempted by the basically brave or the foolhardy. Not all email readers display the entire subject line. Just because you use Microsoft Mail doesn’t imply that all your readers do too. Keeping your subject sequence total amount under 51 characters will ensure that lendees can see all of your subject line, no matter what email program properties are using.

Some words are better as opposed to others Be wary of words that motive spam filters. The discernable sites are “free” and “discount”. Most spam filtering works by scoring the email according to length, origin, sayings used, images and so on. Once a threshold has kept on reached the email is classified as spam and the utility rejects it. Even punctuation such as exclamation marks in a subject line can increase your score, bringing you closer to the threshold.

If you are unsure virtually how to avoid spam triggers in your email re&wshyp;selling copy, a expert email broadcaster serves to be great to advise you. Grab Attention above the Fold In email marketing, preview panes are the equivalent of the mimic that falls above the fold of a letter. Preview panes undergo become the standard way of hastily glancing at an email and deciding whether it’s value reading or not.

In our quest to get our emails read, our mission is to grab service “above the fold” using our most compelling mimic and imagery. Design and write your email so so your offer, call-to-action, urgency indicator and branding all appear “above the fold”. Be aware that each email reader serves to hold a different preference for their preview pane. This consequences in the region available to grab attention being still different for each. Design and test your email selling pieces in different formats to ensure your “above the fold” copy can be viewed in each.

Many preview panes block images by default, so ‘alt tag’ considerations should be included in the creative and design process. Alt tags also help improve accessibility to those with ass impairments. UK Companies are required by law to take reasonable steps to ensure accessibility under the 2005 amendments to the Disability Discrimination Act, so missing out alt tags were able to prove a costly mistake.

Perhaps because email is so ubiquitous and everyone writes emails every day, companies have a trend to devalue them. However, as this article has shown, there is a lot to think about when planning an email marketing piece. A final proof is that precisely due to the fact that there is these kinds of a lot to think about and as situations are turning so quickly in the world of email marketing, calling a friendly expert once in a additonally is a great shortcut to success.
