i was getting sick of gas prices, so instead of bitching about it i did something, i transformed a 1975 yamaha RD250 to completely electric. Yes that means you never use gasoline, oil, clutches alternators, air filters, spark plugs, timing belts etc… it costs about $1.28 to “fill it up” (charge) and you can drive it approximately 24 miles. the Motorcycle out performs the original RD250 in both speed and acceleration. I’m already starting on another electric motorcycle project and hope to have prototype #2 ready in spring time 09′. Prototype number 2 will be 2x faster and have 2x the range. it will also look slightly more modern.
