When Lee Doren uploaded a video to his HowTheWorldWorks channel purporting to show one of my videos was dishonest, I got requests from several long time subscribers to respond with a video of my own, though I’d actually responded to that video within hours of its upload, posting a series of 8 comments pointing out the errors in Lee’s analysis to which Lee has still not replied almost 2 weeks later and which you can now see memorialized along with a player for his video at liberalviewer.com In addition to recapping the main errors in the HowTheWorldWorks video titled “The Visual Fisking of the Liberal Viewer,” I also show in this video how these errors and Lee’s inappropriate responses to them are part of a pattern of dishonesty and personal attacks you can find throughout his videos and his comments. Fox News Politicizes Pap Smears?

When a George W Bush appointed panel’s recommendation of less frequent mammograms to screen for breast cancer was followed by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ recommendation of less frequent pap smears to screen for cervical cancer last week, the Fox News story I saw on the issue did a reasonable job of explaining the new guidelines, but when it came to covering the way some Republicans tried to politicize this news in the ongoing health care reform debate, Fox News did a poor job, falling into the trap of covering the so called “rationing” controversy rather than informing viewers of the truth, as I show in this video. The Fox News story from James Rosen, anchored by Martha MacCallum, including the clip of Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, comes from the program “Live Desk” that aired on November 20, 2009 (and I have been unable to find this segment available online). Life in Tokyo #61: A Day in The Country

I take a trip to the mountians outside Tokyo for a one day escape from urban life. It was nice to get out of the city, however brief. I got back in touch with the non-metrosexual manside by grilling meat over hot coals and having a warm schvitz. I wish I could do this every weekend, but sadly life in Tokyo is mostly working for the man. For those curious about costs and such: Log Cabin: 5000 yen (Per person, cabin sizes range from one person to groups of 6) Bar-b-que Rental: 2000 yen (including charcoal) Train ticket: 2600 yen one way (depends on which train though) Bus: 620 yen one way Onsen: 500 yen Groceries: 3000 yen Charring meat: Priceless English Ok. Pets Ok. But you must return the cabin to the state you found it in. I highly recommend this for families, especially if you can drive. Using public transport was a bit of a pain in the ass, and limits your options if you are staying for more than one night. ***Also, just a reminder I’ll be broadcasting live on BlogTV Wed and Thursday at around 11am Tokyo Time.
