Link building?

I have links pointing to my site homepage in the format:

http://www.sitename.com

When getting links to an inner page I setup links in a different format [ without the www ] :

http://sitename.com/page.html

Will I get the benefit of the links pointing to http://sitename.com/page.html? I forgot to use www.
