Thank you for your answer, Aaron. You’ve got a point that it’s easy to check it if it’s a firefox extension but I’m not much of a xul or java script coder to figure that out
Better ask then sorry.
Anyways I think it’s a great tool. Some SEO companies make this kind of stuff for their own use and they are not as elegant and light as this one. I’ll recommend it on my blog

The search engines know that someone from your IP address is looking through their search results for some *unknown* URL…but beyond that there is no data collection of any sort.
If there was a spammy self-serving data collection strategy behind this tool then it would not have been made as an open source firefox extension. It is too easy to see what the tool does and where the data goes, and someone would call it out. If it were to collect data it have made more sense to make it web based.
