Yahoo Is Delusional, Google Goes Whacky & Really Solid SEO Stuff
Mar 18th
www.SERoundtable.com – In this week’s recap, I kind of give it to Yahoo. They say I am “irresponsible” for saying they are not a search company when their own CEO said that?! Google’s brand search change is out of hand and then they do steaming search results, that’s whack! Google gave real time search a home page and additional features, including inclusion in Google Alerts. Google Maps updated their map review guidelines. Google News made a design change, keeps reverting back to old design. A study shows how important those meta descriptions are in your click through rates. Google & SEOs have one of the best duplicate content and pagination discussions ever. Google gives some deep insights into what makes content unique. GoogleBot was caught crawling from three different IPs. Is Google’s international filter not so national? Finally, there are three known AdWords bugs advertisers should be aware of. That was this week at the Search Engine Roundtable! Blekko Goes Social, Now Lets You Search Sites Your Friends Have ‘Liked’ On Facebook
As of today search engine Blekko has made search a little bit more social, letting users log in through Facebook and using Facebook API data to let you know what sites your friends have ‘Liked’ as well as search those sites. Just connect to Blekko through Facebook, wait a few minutes for your “Likes” to load and begin searching with the /Likes slashtag. Unlike Bing’s Facebook ‘Like’ integration …

Google Caffeine Officially Live, Bing Goes Social, SMX Advanced Recap & Search FIFA Fever
Dec 12th
www.SERoundtable.com – This week, I run through 15 or so topics in about 18 minutes. Google Caffeine is officially live worldwide now, this is not a ranking change like May Day. Google Webmaster Tools bug caused drop in impression and click reporting. Google added soft 404 reporting to Webmaster Tools crawl errors. Google Suggest now shows misspellings. Bing launched social search features. Bing un-launched (if that is a word) their Cashback program. Google released AdWords Campaign Experiments tool to help advertisers do better testing analysis. Google expanded Google Maps Tags nationwide. Yahoo sent out their final Yahoo Publisher Network payments. Google News dropped the Web Search button. Twitter’s URL shortener may have an impact on link building techniques. Searchers hated being forced into the Google custom background image, so Google turned it back. SMX Advanced was this week, we covered 8 or so sessions – it was a great conference. Google didn’t have a D-Day logo, I think that was a good idea. Google is now sporting FIFA logos worldwide, but a Jacques Cousteau Doodle in the US. Also check out the FIFA fever logos and themes at Bing, Yahoo, Ask.com, YouTube and others. That was this past week at the Search Engine Roundtable. Joshua Schachter Goes From Delicious to Tasty
Joshua Schachter, who built social bookmarking site Delicious and sold it to Yahoo, has raised money for his next venture, which he’s calling…Tasty Labs. Get it? Other than telling the world that Tasty Labs will put “the useful back into social software”, Schachter and his cofounders are being coy about what Tasty is up to.

Web 2.0 News: Reddit Goes Open Source, Twitturly, TwitLinks
Nov 12th
freelinereport.com Twitturly, or Twitt(url)y, is a new website that scans Twitter and looks for links people are talking about the most. It then assembles them onto its home page – making this into a really great news source. Twitt(url)y has got the same community appeal as Digg, but without the need to actually go out and vote on something. Instead, just Twittering about a subject and giving the URL is considered a vote, and the more links, the more it rises. Kind of like how Google uses PageRank in its algorithm. freelinereport.com If you want the same kind of thing, but only for tech news, you can head on over to Twit Links and get an aggregated set of links built for the latest news in technology. The web design at TwitLinks.com is sparse, but powerful, giving you up to date news the minute it is twittered. freelinereport.com Then there’s SmashingFeeds, a site that mashes up content from Twitter and tons of other places that offer an RSS feed. It’s free, and it doesn’t even require a login to start using the features. You just point and click and view, wandering around and soaking in all that web 2.0 news. freelinereport.com Next, if you are a book lover and want the same power of Digg or Delicious for your personal library, check out the social site called LibraryThing. It helps you catalogue almost all of your books for free, and you can carry on conversations with people who have the same books. If you have a lot of books, you can even buy a scanner and have your …

Conspiracy Goes Mainstream: CNBC’s Big Brother, Big Business
Aug 31st
NOW ! ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS NO LONGER HAVE ANY EXCUSE TO DISMISS YOU OR CALL YOU A CONSPIRACY NUT !! ALL THE THINGS WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT AND BEEN RIDICULED OVER IS NOW ON MAINSTREAM TELEVISION. THERE ARE NO MORE EXCUSES THAT THE OSTRICHES, THAT WE ALL KNOW, CAN USE TO IGNORE THE TRUTH. IF YOU SHOW THESE CLIPS TO YOUR SKEPTICS AND THEY STILL DISMISS YOU – THEY ARE THE ONES THAT LIVE ON FANTASY ISLAND. Conspiracy Theory – It is not just for “Nuts” anymore. It is like watching an Alex Jones video on mainstream TV. Good stuff in this documentary and surprisingly, CNBC is very fair to both sides of the argument. This CNBC documentary covers it all. RFID, Verichip, Surveillance Cameras, Biometrics, Google / Government Data Collection and Mining, Car Data Black Boxes, Facial Recognition, ID Theft, Cell Phone, Laser Printing, CDROM, and Digital Camera Tracking. I am actually quite impressed with this mainstream media outlet’s detail and coverage. However, what this let’s me know is that the fascist power mongers have the control grid infrastructure in place for Big Brother to begin its rule. And, that those in control feel confident in the scheme and no longer worry if the public knows. Maybe they’re right – It is up to us to show them they are so wrong. THIS THIRD CLIP IS ABOUT GPS TRACKING DEVICES AND SURVEILLENCE CAMERAS WATCH EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS WATCH ALL 9 FOR THE WHOLE DOCUMENTARY.
