How To Get Targeted Keywords For Use On Google Adwords

Everyone knows the importance of having targeted keywords for their Google Adwords campaigns, but not everyone knows where to begin – especially beginners. Most beginners simply read an article on how they can make money with Adwords, sign up for an affiliate product, go to Adwords with some broad keywords, and end up losing hundreds of dollars in the process.
If this has ever happened to you, then you are not alone.
Money can be made with adwords, but it has to be done right. And it all begins with proper keyword research. Having a great ad and landing page is important too, but in this article we’re going to focus in on how to select the best possible keywords as possible so that you can start off on the right foot.
If you’re thinking about purchasing a nifty keyword tool that can get you thousands of niche related keywords in seconds, then you should hold off on that thought. Before you start spending money on anything, start by creating a small keyword list yourself. Try creating a list of about 50 targeted keywords that’s related to the niche you want to enter into, and try to improve from there.
You always want to take your time before investing any money into a business, and this is especially true if you’re thinking about spending money on advertising. Right now, creating these keyword lists by hand is practice. Once you get the hang of it and you can create 50 targeted keywords in other niches, then you may want to consider purchasing a tool that can get you a vast list of targeted keywords to use.
Now, once you’ve gotten the hang of creating 50 keywords by hand and understand the importance of good quality keywords, it’s time to test these keywords out. At this step, you want to use Google’s free keyword tool to find out if any of the keywords that you wrote out by hand are actually getting any search each month. Remember, you want to get a feel of how this works, and the process of making your adwords campaign profitable. Simply enter all of the keywords that you have written out and see if any are listed as having being searched for in the search engines. If so, you have a keyword candidate that you can bid on.
Another thing that you will find is that, when you enter some of the keywords you wrote out earlier into the tool, you will find a slew of other relevant keywords with very little competition also. You will want to jot these down also and possibly use them if you find them relevant to what you’re selling.
To make the process easier for you, this Google’s tool allows you to export your keyword findings in excel format. You will want to do that for our exercise below.
MAKING THESE KEYWORDS PROFITABLE
Now that you know in a general sense how to find highly-relevant keywords that relate to what you are selling, you will want to put these good keywords into use in your Adwords account.
The first thing you should know is that you shouldn’t just go and put up all of these keywords at one into 1 ad group. This is a great way to not get as many clicks as possible. The first step before bidding on any of these keywords is to make your website relevant in the eyes of Google. Here’s how to do it.
You want to set your ad group and landing page up so that they both structured toward 1 keyword and variations of that keyword. So if you sell motorbikes, here’s how you want to set things up:
***AD GROUP NAME***
“Discount Motorbikes”
***KEYWORDS***
discount motorbikes
cheap motorbikes
affordable motorbikes
With this technique, you can easily lower your minimum bid because you are targeting low cost keywords that are highly relevant to what your website is about – Which will only increase the chances of your website being ranked as high as possible in Google’s PPC results.
And when you create an ad with the these niche keywords in your title, description, and URL – Google will find your ad to be very good and relevant, and will bold the keywords in your ad which will make it easier for your prospect to find you.
But it doesn’t stop here. Google can also see your landing page. So you want to include these keywords on your landing page also – especially in the headline of your website. You want your entire campaign as relevant as possible so that you can get a high “quality score” by Google, and get your site ranked high in the PPC results.
Makes sense? I hope so. This little tutorial on keyword research will prove to be very helpful if you start implementing them now. So I suggest you start using them today. Good luck!

When you think of Google’s Adwords, you might think it’s pretty straightforward at first. If you put your bid on Google Adwords keywords, you should expect to see some traffic from the ads you put out. At first glance, this sounds pretty easy.
Google’s Adwords can actually help you tremendously. It’s easy to sell products of your own, or your services, or even an affiliate item that you sell. If you want to use Adwords, then you’ll probably be familiar with the success that many have expereinced in using these campaigns, and how many have made a tremendous amount of money. Perhaps you have heard the opposite side of things, the horror stories of people going broke from Adwords. You don’t want to lose your money. However, if you read these tips, you should be able to avoid these pitfalls.
You will need to be sure that you select the best Google Adwords keywords when placing your bid. You don’t want to have to pay for the clicks which won’t convert to sales, or else you could go bankrupt. If you want to use Google Adwords keywords, then you’ll need to find those terms that are profitable and not a liability.
Though many people will say that you will be able to create a campaign that results in a fortune on Google – all without any work – you need to be aware that it takes work up front. You’ll need to choose those Google Adwords keywords that you want to bid on, which will then require your supervision over time for a couple of reasons. First you want to be sure that the ads you make generate enough clicks when compared to your ads’ exposure, otherwise Google pulls the ad. Another reason this happens has been mentioned above: if your Google Adwords keywords are getting plenty of traffic and clicks, but don’t result in a sale, then you are wasting your money.
When you begin your first website, but before you start an ad campaign, you ought to build a landing page for every keyword or group of keywords. Their statistics ought to be tracked for every page. This way you can tell what keywords bring the most traffic, and which result in sales. This will also tell you what Google Adwords keywords you need to re-consider.
