4 Mistakes Marketers Make With Google Adwords And How To Fix Them

When advertising on Google Adwords, alot of mistakes can occur. With the potential high cost that a particular keyword can bring, you may be forced into bidding on a keyword that is above your budget, all while the campaign itself is riddled with other problems. A double whammy.
To help you with this problem, I have listed 5 common mistakes that beginner and veteran advertisers make when creating and running their Adwords campaign. If you want to make your campaign as profitable as possible, then I suggest you pay attention and correct these mistakes now so that they don’t continue to hurt you in the future.
MISTAKE #1: Running ads on the display (content) network
Admittedly, there are some marketers who are having success with the display or content network. However for most advertisers, this is a recipe for disaster. Although the cheap costs to run ads on the display network may seem attractive, the bottom line is that you will get alot of hits – with little to no sales.
You also have to deal with common pay per click search engine issues such as poor traffic quality and click fraud. You will often hear from people online that they are making a “fortune” with the display network, but I suggest you don’t listen to them. This is similar to a person saying that they made $30,000 in their first month online, while you’re still trying to make $100 a month online – and them selling you on the idea that you can do it too.
Don’t listen to the advice. Period
MISTAKE #2: Not having a good landing page
Your landing page will make or break your campaign. Depending on what you sell and how much you sell it for, the strategy for your landing page will differ. If you sell a high-priced product, then you will want to generate leads and follow-up on them with future mailings. If you sell a low-priced product, you can still do the same, but leading your customer directly to your product page can be a good idea also – especially if what you sell relates directly towards the keywords you are bidding on.
But not only is a good landing page important for your initial income, but it is good for your quality score with Adwords. If Google considers your website is full of good and quality information for your visitor, you will receive a better quality score with Google – which will only increase your rankings in the pay per click search engine results.
Some people use this information to create something called a “pre-sell page”, where they have very informative articles and product reviews that includes links to a product they’re selling or an affiliate product. This works if done right, and this kind of helpful page can definitely boost your rankings. Here’s mistake number three.
MISTAKE #3: Having a high daily budget
The obvious reason not to do this is because you can simply forget that you set a high budget, and you may blow all of your funds quickly. With a non-profitable campaign, this is a no-go.
But not only that, even though this strategy may seem good initially, it can severely hinder the results you’re trying to achieve. When you set your daily budget above the recommended budget that Google suggests for you, Google will boost the amount of impressions on each campaign that you have that employs this technique.
The impression increase will occur on non-targeted “broad match” keywords which will only lead to a low click-through rate (CTR). With a high impression count and a low click-through rate, this leads to a low quality score. Because of it, your Adwords ads will be placed lower than they should be, and you won’t get as many visitors as you would like.
MISTAKE #4: Not having a high enough bid
When you bid too low, you don’t get as much clicks as you would want to. If you’re specifically testing an idea out by bidding too low, then this is fine. But if you’re specifically looking to earn money from your campaigns, then you can’t bid at a low price.
If you’re ads show up on the 3rd or 4th page of the Google search results, how do you expect to get traffic? You want to bid high enough where at the very least you can break even on your ads, and at best – make a profitable. And you do this by targeted your keywords correctly.
You will want to use Google’s free keyword tool to get as much targeted and low cost keywords that you can bid on as possible (https: //adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal). The low cost keywords you select shouldn’t be too competitive, so you can bid relatively high on them while still making a profit.
Be sure to avoid these 4 mistakes so that you don’t become another victim of poor advertising. Good luck on your Google Adwords campaigns.

Throughout the day, millions of people around the globe are surfing the net and millions of advertisements are also available online for them to see. However, not all net surfers will be interested in checking each advertisement unless this will be of their interest. The issue now would be how we can spoil each net surfer’s interest so that they’ll check your advertisements.
There are some AdWords’ tips for network marketers so that their ads will be on top of the search engines like Google. To start giving you those AdWords’ tips, let me give you some idea on how to create AdWords on Google as an example. First of all, you have to generate or make your ads and choose words or phrases to be your keywords. Bear in mind that your keywords have to be, as mush as possible, very related to the business that you have. The keywords are very much important because as people search on Google or any other search engines using your keywords, that is the time that they will be able to see your advertisements, hence, this will be a chance for you to entice them about what you offer. As soon as you have someone educated about your products and services there is a possibility that you can make a sale or if not, there is still a word-of-mouth that you can rely on. As the news about you spread the more chances that you can get customers.
Another AdWords’ tip is that you have to make sure that your ad will stick to a person’s mind and heart. Those heart warming ads were the best if you have a charity organization which is in need of donations so that you can help more needy people, for example. In health ads you have to have some ads that would make them realize the importance of consumers’ health and thus, it will result to these people consulting to specialists which your company offers. These were just examples for advertisements that you can have since there should be different ads according to what services you offer.
The next AdWords’ tip would be about earning and loosing – this is money that I’m talking about. Of course you can loose some and earn some later on. But you just have to be very wise on spending every last cent, and always be on-track if you are earning more than the amount you are actually spending.
Next AdWords’ tip is focus on the amount that you think you will be earning more. You’re in a business so you should have to be positive in terms of your earnings. Always consider the quality of your services so that it will be worth it. While you are demanding for a higher rate, the quality of the service that you will provide should always be the best.
One of the “you may not believe it” AdWords’ tip would be about the keywords. Most of the time you should use misspelled words because it really works. You can also try the “written as one” keywords, most of the time these types of keywords where being search more times than those spelled correctly.
These are just few tips that can help you but you can still find lots of different blogs online discussing about this. The last thing you have to remember in AdWords would be explore and affordable.

Effective Link Building Tips for Online Marketers

There is no secret to effective link building. It is simply a game of time vs money.
Time vs money? Let me explain.
If you have been reading ebooks on link building, you would have read about the different ways of effective link building:
– article marketing
– social bookmarking
– press release
– RSS
– web 2.0 sites
– website directories
– blog comments
If you have all the time in the world, you can do everything yourself. If not, you will have to spend money to get the work done.
That’s why I said link building is a game of time vs money.
Good news or bad news?
I think it’s good news.
When you first started, you can spend more time, less money.
As you make more money, you can spend more money and less time.
Frankly, I didn’t do everything I’m supposed to do when it comes to link building. For example, I seldom create Squidoo lens or Hubpages to link to my Adsense websites. I also seldom post blog comments or write a press release for my Adsense websites.
Reason? Again, it’s time vs money.
I should have done all these, but I didn’t. If you can, by all means do all of them!
I follow a standard link building method for most of my websites.
Recently, I added Linkvana to my link building arsenal.
If you’ve just started, I suggest that you use the following free (or almost free) strategies:
1. Article marketing
This should be your #1 strategy. You should prepare at least 5 400-words articles, each linking to your homepage and one internal page, and submit them to the top article directories and then mass-submit them to hundreds of smaller article directories through a mass submission service.
2. Social bookmarking
Social bookmarking is the way I get my new website indexed in the search engines quickly. I submit to Digg and Propeller for social bookmarking.
3. Directory submission
Forget about most of the semi-automated directory submitter in the market.
The most time consuming part in directory submission is waiting for the website to load. And the way to speed up the submission process is to have the ability to open multiple websites at the same time, something like the tab feature in Firefox and IE7.
4. Blog comments
I seldom do blog comment posting. Why? Because it’s time consuming. But it’s a great method, frankly.
Remember this: I would rather have 1 PR3 “webpage” linking to my website compared to 100 PR0 “webpages”. Note that I say webpage, not website.
For example, ezinearticle is a PR 6 website. But if you submit an article to it, the page with your article and link usually have PR 0.
How do you find high PR “webpages” to link to you?
Well, the answer is blog comment posting.
Your job is to find blog posts with high PR and with no “no-follow”.

As long as you make sure that your website endorses right pricing and good products and services without sacrificing the fact that the website should be very relevant, then you’ll be successful on AdWords.
