Most of affiliates who use AdWords to promote their affiliate products and hope to make money from their advertising efforts will lose money eventually. The key reason of their failure is they do not know how to effectively use this extremely competitive advertising platform to generate positive ROI. There are too many internet surfers looking for information, but most of them might not be the potential buyers. So, it is important to get rid of these tire clickers and ensure that your AdWords ads are only clicked by the potential buyers.
Nowadays, keywords are very competitive in AdWords PPC. It’s hard to find the most relevant and effective keywords without a good tool. Hence, make sure you have a keywords tool available to help you choose a great set of keywords to be used in your AdWords campaigns. You also need to learn how to write an effective campaign that will woo your potential customers while filter out most of freebie seekers so that you can increase your traffic-to-sales conversion rate. One of common mistake made by most of advertisers is they are too concern about click-through-rate (CTR), they tried their very hard to achieve high CTR but they forget or miss out one big issue: the click will be worthless and make you lose money if the click does not convert into sale. If you have high CTR on your ad meaning that you need to spend more, unless you can convert enough traffic to sales so that you can generate positive ROI.
There are several strategies to minimize the non-buyer clicks:
First, take a look at your keyword. Normally, those potential buyers will look for more specific information and they tend to type in more specific keywords when they use the search engine to find information. Hence, don’t use keywords which are too general, the broader the keyword, the greater the chance of non-buyers click on your AdWords ads and cost you money without the conversion. For example, if you are selling mobile phone, don’t choose the keyword “phone” which might attract clickers who look for free phone content update; instead use more specific keyword such as “Nokia 5300 Phone”, the conversion rate will be 10 times higher compared to previous one.
Second, add the negative keywords on your campaign to avoid your ads from appear if any of negative keyword being searched. One of the common negative keyword is “Free”. You do not want people who are looking for free information to click on your ads.
Third, add the price at the ads header or body so that people know they need to buy it if they are interested with the information promoted at your AdWords campaigns, e.g. ‘Get your ebook now at $47′. This method will minimize the non-buyer clickers who are not willing to pay for it.

Google AdWords is the best pay-per-click advertising platform where you can generate a good ROI if you plan your ads carefully and use the right tools to help you generate effective ads that only drive traffic which can convert to sales.

Google search engine has here predominance. On average there are 101.18 page views monthly, while for the second Onet and fourth Interia it is just 18.27 and 17.83 accordingly.
The most popular keywords in Poland
It is well known what Polish internauts use to search through the Internet and how they do it, the only question is what they generally look for. The most popular keywords in search engines are regularly updated – e.g. in case of Onet (http://boksy.onet.pl/ranking.html) on a weekly basis. The most popular subjects searched for in polish search engines are erotica, entertainment (for example, surnames of popular stars, music files, funny videos, etc.), season entries – connected with current events in the country, or information such as weather, train timetable, loans, work and… search engines! Car related phrases and tourism are very popular as well.
The use of search engine optimization and search engine marketing in Poland
More than 75% of Polish companies (a poll made by Bluerank) use search engine optimization (web positioning and optimization) to improve the visibility of company website at the search engine ranking pages. In addition, half of the examined companies have executed advertising campaigns (PPC) with the use of sponsored links on Polish and international search engines. During festive time, such as the second half of December, the costs increase because of huge popularity of sponsored links, especially in the retail area. Tourism has its ‘raise and fall’ depending on season. The holiday time is very crucial (June-August), New Years Eve, as well as winter holidays (February). Finances are in good condition through the whole year (there is always competition) but taking into consideration IT there is minor stagnation between II and III term, so it means the sponsored links might be cheaper at that time. According to the data from a search engine – among the total of 11 million of Polish internauts, 650.000 use exclusively Onet (Megapanel PBI/Gemius research from 2006/2007).
