Yahoo Answers is just a free place to help each other, and yes, people leave their links if they can help.
I will use myself as an example for you.

Sure but you have to use it very responsibly. Its not a place for you to drop your link any and everywhere.
The key is to answer questions and provide lots of value – make sure the question poster gets the answer they’re looking for and if your site has a resourceful page that adds value to your answer then you can probably link to it as a reference.
