Guide to get best SEO results
What are the most cost effective Web sites with the highest traffic to start a photography business?
I am an emerging phtographer and am looking for efficient and cost effective delivery of my portrait, event, fine art and other photo subjects I am developing. I am looking for a service that allows me to upload the photos and then the service bureau does most average fulfillment. I want to make sure I can add the key words and metatags to every image, protect my copyright on the images and have a unique easy-to-remember url to promote traffic to the site. I want to be responsible for maintaining the site, without significsnt HTML capacity (WYSIWYG). Additionally, are there particular stock houses you recommend to approach with my 30 year old, BW and Kodachrome images from Asia and the S Pacific?

Imodel.com offers a good online portfolio domain-level package for $10 a month- their template system is easy to use, they drive traffic to your site thru their banner exchanges. They also will make you a banner free, and the site offers a high level of customization- but still very easy to use. I have been hosting my modeling portfolio there for 3 years now.
Drawbacks of imodel: small image size (only up to 200kb), does not automatically watermark images, you can put in image descriptions but not image meta-data.
In addition to submitting to stock photography image houses such as bigstockphoto.com, try maybe burning the better images to CD and selling them on Ebay…

you should just get your own website, that way you have no-one else to compete with and you can tailor it to exactly how you want it
