Whats a decent amount of web traffic ??
Hi.
What would be a good amount of web traffic per day or month on a website to make money from adsense ??? I would like to get aclue of how many people i would need to view my website a day or amonth to make a dime. I know people have to click on the ad’s but someone help. if you have experience ??

I would work on 10%. 10% of your visitors will click on your adsense adverts. I’m sure you can do the math from there.
It depends what your site offers. I don’t see the point of directing visitors aways from your site for only a few cents. Rather focus on quality content and start getting your visitors to become paying customers of your own.
In my opinion your profits will be much higher if you concentrate on content and so keeping visitors on your site as long as possible.
Do you have Google Analytics setup on your website?

Hey Club,
The answer is that it very much depends on the type of site / content / ads that you’re going to be dealing with.
One of my websites attracts more than 1,000,000 uniques on a good month but because it is a broad entertainment site, we don’t do amazingly well from Adsense.
However if you run a highly targeted website that operates in a niche sector, for a specific audience, then it should perform much better (both in terms of CTR and your Adsense commission).
It’s really about being a part of the buying cycle, and figuring out the mindset of the average visitor.
My 1m+ uniques site focuses on news and gossip, so it’s not really part of any customer journey. People are there to read a news story, not to research a product or service.
But if *your* website features lots of reviews, and operates in a specific sector (ideally one with high average order values and lots of online sales) then you should do much better.
As such your website will make more money that mine, from Adsense, all things remaining equal. Your 10,000 uniques might be worth more than my 1m, in Adsense terms.

You can break this down to some pretty easy math if you know or can estimate two variables: your average revenue per click and your average conversion rate. To figure out how many visitors you need, the formula would be:
Visitors = (Total revenue / Revenue per click)/Conversion Rate
For example, if you make $2 per click on average, your average conversion rate is 1%, and your desired level of revenue is $5,000, the formula to find out how many visitors you need would be:
Visitors = (5,000 / 2)/.01
Visitors = 250,000
To do it in reverse, 250,000 visitors times a 1% conversion rate equals 2,500 clicks. 2,500 times $2 per click equals $5,000.
It may take some work to come up with reasonably accurate estimates. Some categories of ads pay more than others, so obviously running ads in more lucrative categories means you can get away with a lower conversion rate or less total traffic.

It depends on which content if its adult related then its no less then 10.000 hits per day is normal. Also it depends on your target market. If you target kids or women it changes. For me i say 20.000 unqiue per day is decent. You need to work hard to get visitors to your site if you are able man you get million visitors.
